Doug Knox’s entrance to the realms of FMCG Packaging began in 1976 – when he joined a Global Printing Ink Company as a Trainee Ink Technician for Flexible Packaging. He revelled in this new world of science and colours – so invisible yet so part of everyone’s daily experience of purchasing household items.
He also spent time with a start-up Company as a Print Manager being on the other end of producing FMCG Packaging. These years gave him invaluable insight into being on the sharp end of supplying FMCG Packaging. It was in fact during these early years that the concept for SealGlobal.Co’s Patented and Globally specified KandyKote® were born. This unique innovation has been the spearhead of a wealth of new Proprietary and Unique Intellectual Property developed and owned by SealGlobal.Co
His realm of Flexible Packaging knowhow was broken when he then formulated and supplied the very first Water-Based In-Line Coatings to be run on a Lithographic press in Johannesburg South Africa during the early 1980’s – reviving a then ailing commercial Printing format to be able to deliver ‘off the press’ product – eliminating the use of spray-powders and lengthy drying times required for the slow post-printing production altogether.
Joining SealGlobal.Co in 1987 coincided with significant advances in both FMCG Packaging applications as well products. These included cold seals and release lacquers – uniquely formulated for specific sub-tropical conditions- as well as a host of varied and diverse applications being considered and developed commercially for FMCG Packaging. During these years the SealGlobal.Co Team won the prestigious Supplier of The Year – for 8 consecutive years – for a Global Tobacco behemoth. This with innovative unique specialised technologies and allowing for vast cost and production savings.
Backed by a strong and talented Team nurtured over the years since 1987, the business has grown nearly 100-fold. Supplying specified products globally. SealGlobal.Co has a vision to continue leading and being relevant to all issues for an industry now at the tipping point of the Global Climate C.rises. Richard joined Seal in 2004 after consulting to SealGlobal.Co in the preceding years. Since, Richard has been instrumental in implementing, upgrading and streamlining the company’s internal systems on the way to achieving its various accreditation’s. Richard ascribes to continuous improvement and, together with his suitably qualified team, is always looking for ways to better SealGlobal.Co’s service, to customers and its workforce.

SealGlobal.Co welcomes to its ranks Marc Lewis as the newly appointed Marketing Director. Marc comes with a wealth of experience in the Advertising and Brand Marketing Industry, initially working for leading local companies and then running his own, Clctiv, for the past 11 years. As Advertising Agency for SealGlobal.Co for the past year, Marc has been instrumental in affecting our rebranding and Social Media Channels. Marc will add that fourth dimension to an already competent team. The management at SealGlobal.Co wish Marc all the success for the future, personally and together.
